Today I write in English in honour of Adam Kilgarriff. It was a shock to hear the news of his passing.
Adam was a renowned linguist, working with language corpora, word frequency distributions and corpus interfaces, among many other things.
I first knew Adam in Oslo, Norway, in a Euralex conference. He was a charming, lively keynote speaker with a great sense of humour.
I had the honour of meeting him personally in September 2012, in Galtür, Austria, in Lexicom 2012, one of many workshops of LexMC.
Today, my thoughts are with his family and friends.

Farewell, Adam, you will be truly missed.
